We have now completed days 4 & 5 of our 7
day cruise.  Oh how fast time flies when you are on vacation! Yesterday we
were in port all day at beautiful St. Thomas in the US Virgin Islands. This
world famous duty free shopping port was hopping with 5 cruise ships in port!
After a couple of hours of supporting the local economy we made our way
back to our ship.  Personally, I like staying onboard sometimes as most
guests are onshore and the ship has a quieter, more relaxed feel.

If you
are more adventurous, there are a number of shore excursions to choose from.
Island tours, snorkeling and diving adventures, and a ride to relax on a
gorgeous Caribbean beach can all be yours!

The Oasis of the Seas Is a unique ship in that it can offer options that other
ships can’t. We had the pleasure of experiencing this ourselves last night.
The Oasis has an Aqua Theatre at the back of the ship and this Venue
allows them to put on an amazing water show.  This show was a combination
of Cirque du Soleil, gymnastics, diving acrobatics, and synchronized swimming.
The cast members are all dive champions and we were thoroughly
entertained! It is amazing to think that you are sailing in the middle of the
ocean and yet these performers are not affected by the movement at all!
An experience to be remembered!

Today we had a port day at the island of St. Maarten an island that is half
Dutch and half French. One of the unique experiences on this island is to go to
Sunset beach which is at the end of the runway at Princess Juliana Airport, St
Maarten’s main airport.

What makes it unique is that the airplanes land
by flying right over your head!  You haven’t lived unless you have had a
jet come right at you!  Also, when the jets take off, the thrust sends
sand and anything not tied down swirling!  It has to be seen to be
believed!

Tonight, It’s off to another great experience onboard – Frozen in Time- an ice
show extravaganza!  Yes, that’s right -there’s an ice rink onboard and you
can rent skates if you wish!

So picture
this – as a performer you sing, dance, AND ice skate while the ship is moving!
I will tell you how it goes tomorrow!   Now it is off to
dinner…..oh, the endless choices!!!
