This is the second experience I have had at a San Antonio Staybridge property and I am impressed.

Last year we drove in from Texas Hill Country between Austin and here to be closer to the airport to catch our midday flight.

We drove up to a Staybridge property nearby the airport and grabbed any room available for a quick turnaround sleep. The rooms were well appointed, clean as expected, and the free buffet breakfast was a treat.

This time we are staying at the Staybridge Suites property on 1604 North Loop in a two bedroom suite. This truly is good value.

With bedrooms on either side of a nice living room and a full kitchen and living area, it is ideal for visitors with families or friends who want to spend any amount of extended time in the area.

While a huge H.E.B. grocery chain store is not that far away, the property offers a nice selection of simple foods which can be cooked or micro waved in the suite.

Three television sets give everyone a chance to pass the time as they please; or they can use the fitness room and games area on the main floor.

This is a very new hotel/suites property so it still has that pristine feeling. The staff has been really helpful and friendly in all areas and they communicate with each other in a style that demonstrates that they really get along and enjoy working together.

The best bonus is the complimentary breakfast in the morning which is as near to a full breakfast as you will find in places that offer it; plus the daily complimentary offering of beer and wine and a different food choice every evening from 5 ‘til 7. Last night it was two soup choices and a large salad with loads of fixings.

This trip has become somewhat of an annual golf affair for my son and I and it has started off just perfectly with a game of golf on day one at the Quarry, a course we have golfed a couple of times before.

Yesterday we golfed at the Le Cantera Palmer Course, which affords majestic views of San Antonio and the surrounding area in a layout that will challenge the best…we are not the best but we sure enjoyed it enough to add another 9 holes after we completed the first 18.
