I have to say being honoured is a mighty fine treat!
We are on the cruise ship, the Nieuw Amsterdam by invitation of Holland America and the Ensemble Travel Group, the consortium to which we belong.
The trip is a kind of recognition award for achieving Top 25 status in Canada and we share our time with the Top 25 agencies in the United States as well who are members of the same consortium.
Along with these fine people are a number of other important suppliers to us like RBC Travel Insurance, Westjet Vacations, and so many others we utilize to give our clients the exceptional vacations that they take.
In a couple of hours we will leave for the Brittania Golf Course in Grand Cayman. Designed by Jack Nicklaus it is only a 9 hole course but apparently absolutely beautiful in the style of Royal Troon, Turnberry, and Royal Birkdale.
After golf we will relax in the company of the people over at the Westin and enjoy lunch, swimming, and resting in one of their cabanas.
On this trip I have noticed that everytime we are offered a cabana it seems to be also loaded with wine, beer and other beverages.
Tonight we get to experience the other specialtly restaurant on the Nieuw Amsterdam, the Pinnacle. From reports of people who have already dined there we have something to look forward to this evening.
As a meat eater I already know my choice will involve steak of some kind.
It’s a good thing this trip is drawing to a close or I would be rolling home.
We still have another day at sea, as stop in Costa Maya, and more hospitality. O.K. I will handle it for a few more days.
