It has been quite some time since I last vacationed at a Sandals property.

Today I was with a group, a number of whom had not only stayed at various Sandals Resorts, but raved about the experience.

I have been fortunate to have stayed at many and visited many more.

As a travel professional we get to visit any property we like to do a tour when on a holiday where there is one or more Sandals.

A couple of the people in today’s discussion had been to the Sandals in Nassau and we three agreed it was the best of the best.

Sandals started as a Jamaican resort, with all inclusive as its core value, except they took it to the next level.

No cheap liquors here or second class meals.

They did the job right.

One of my favorite Sandals stories came from a three day visit we made a few years ago.

My wife is crazy over lobster so she asked if they would be serving it during our three days.

The waiter apologized and said the lobster night feast had taken place two nights earlier…but come back to him tomorrow and he would see what he could do.

As you guessed it, she was served as much lobster as she could eat.

This is what service is all about and a standard Sandals has tried to maintain.
